I have 2 of the BX-25 mags but haven't shot using them yet. I also traded a duck call for a brick of .22s.

As everyone stated, the BX-25's are great.

I want one with a stainless barrel and a forest cammo or nutmeg thumbhole stock. Not going to risk piecing one together in fear of lack of knowledge and too lazy to research compatibility but would love to find one.

I wouldn't let this deter you. There's one screw to remove the stock and 2 more holding the barrel on. Nothing to it.

I have a regular bx-25 mag, a bx-25 x2 (shown above), and a promag 32rd mag. The bx-25 mags are much much better quality. The bx-25 x2 is fun for plinking... I picked one up a couple weeks ago at a gun show for $50 new in box. In the bx-25 x2, once you use up all 25rds in the one side, you take it out, flip it upside down, insert and shoot 25 more. They also come with a dust cover for the side that isnt being used.

I can't remember the last time I've seen bricks of .22

I was at the Wal-Mart on College a couple of weeks ago in the morning on a Saturday and they had five 550 round bulk packs of .22lr for about 20 bucks a piece. I bought all five. I felt like I won the ammo lottery. I couldn't believe that they let me get all five.
