I'll go hunt a creek behind my house back in Covington. Its outside the city limits, so as long as I'm 50 or 100 yards away from a house, according to an city laws page I read, I'm good. Thing is steel shot wouldn't piss people off cause there are so many trees, its popping woodies at 5:30 - 6 in the morning that does.

In St Tammany it is illegal to discharge a firearm within a 1000 ft perimeter of any residential subdivision.

I'm sure people have been hunting that land long before you built your house...maybe you should have thought of this before moving into that area...just because you move in there, doesn't mean you can come in and change peoples traditions and where they hunt just to satisfy you...

So as the world get populated there won't be many places left to hunt over 1000ft from a house. Gonna be a sad day.
