If the trip is between Christmas and new yrs I am in. Otherwise good luck to you guys.

I have a 14' boat, kayak, pirogue and about 50 dekes.

So someone needs to pick a date to do this. If we do it during the week instead of a weekend I need time to make sure I can cancel patients to be there. Weekend I can be there no problem.

If we do it during the week I would suggest a Wed and Thursday combination so that we could hunt Pass a Loutre AND Delta NWR if we wanted to. Delta is only open W, T, Sat, SUn. Once I have a date I can figure out what sleeping arrangments I can offer. If I have no one in the camp I can sleep 8 counting me. Ya'll can have the camps, I'll be enjoying my A/C, heat, satellite, etc..

I will let those who started this project pick the dates, by no means do I have to be there I am there a ton already but sounds as though if I could be there it may be a help to you all.

As far as fishing, the trout are just getting right now in the river that will be over real quick I would suspect we have 2-3 weeks on the river before it jumps but that all depends upon the rain up north. Of course there are other places to fish but when the river is on it's tough to beat.

Someone pick a date...

I would be interested also. I have some knowledge of the area and all the gear to go as well as a GT and 2 pirogues. I have place to stay on land and can put us on the fish as long as river stays below 5'.

JB just a suggestion but I would eliminate Dec 10-20 if you want to legally hunt ducks. Just saying....

That might work for us. We were going to try to go either Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday to avoid the crowds. That first week of second split is Christmas, so it might be better to go that first week in January.

This could be epic!!!

Us OB'ers could possibly single handily change the migration due to our sheer firepower.

I'm in.

It appears a few groups of us are already planning on going down there for the second slipt. Can I suggest that someone make a google share doc with the dates, general info, & contact #'s for the people spearheading each group?

I've already sent an email to a few of ya'll, so keep me posted. I've hunted PAL & SE Pass for many years and hope to share whatever info I can with you knuckleheads.

It's a double edge sword here the further we get past new years the less people will be there, in fact it's somewhat like a ghost town after New Year's weekend. However most of you seem to be young pups wanting to use your holiday break so go with what works for most.
