Son is interested in making a pig hunt over mardi gras break. Is Point Aux Chene worth the effort? Used to duck hunt it years ago so I know it fairly well. What about Atchafalya Delta WMA? Have very little knowledge of that area.

Thought the same thing Some WMAs have a feral hog season until March 31. Don't think Yancey does.

I use to spend a lot of time on the PAC WMA, never saw a Hog. I've never even heard of someone seeing a hog there. My cousin has some property in Bourg, he hasn't saw any hogs or got any on camera. Not saying they dont have any, but I wouldn't waste my time there.

I thought this was about a political action committee.

We used to hunt Sherburne with some success. During squirrel/rabbit season we'd use shotguns with #2-BB TSS shot or rimfire rifles.

Thought about Sherburne too. It's not listed in the feral hog season in the reg book. Unless in reading it wrong there's only four WMAs listed as open for hogs from Feb 16 to March 31. Seems like the rest are closed outside of regular hunting seasons.

How silly. If the powers that be were really interested in the eradication of feral pigs, LDWF would be handing out corn and bullets at every WMA gate everyday.
