Don’t cheap out on these. I have seen a few house fires start from fans in the patio/carport areas. Maybe just a coincidence but I always felt it was internal corrosion due to moisture.

I have two of the 84" MinkaAire H20s. I'd say they are okay and it seemed like they were the best non-Big arse Fan you could buy at the time. In hindsight, I should have just ponied up $1200/ea for the Big arse Fans.

We're those Hunter fans specifically designed for the outdoor? Hunter makes some great fans for sure. Have you had to do any type of maintenance with your outdoor fans?

I want one for my patio but it just has an ivy covered roof. Can you still put a ceiling fan in a box or something?

Not ceiling (cover not tall enough) but I have a few of these on my patio mounted to TV mounts on the posts. Quiet and put out a good bit of air.

How did you mount it with the TV mounts on the back. Can you take a picture?

There’s a bolt that mounts the tv mount to the articulating arm. It looks like he pulled that out and put it through the arm on the fan.

Duckhunter is correct. Just unscrewed the bolt, and removed the bracket that mounts to the back of the TV. Then use that bolt for the mounting arm on the fan.
