No, credit card signup people walk around the store. They have a kiosk by the stairs on the right side of the store. Maybe called Outdoor traveler or something like that?

when i was at Big Cedar, they would get these hot little girls to try to get you to sign up for a time share there.. i actually considered it when this hot little red head starting going over all the benefits

Of the two, I have found that Cabela's usually has better sales/clearance prices. With BPS, unless it is advertised, it is full price. Conversely, I have made quite a number of impulse buys at Cabelas after seeing something marked >50% off. e.g. Sahara reel for $25, fly rod/reel for $150 (down from $330), always a good bit of tackle on clearance for next to nothing. . . and that isn't even counting what they have upstairs in the bargain section.
If you add Academy to the mix, then it would win hands down. They usually have what I need, are a lot closer to the house, and usually always have the best prices.

Academy must be strictly Louisiana based? I'd never heard of Academy before until I started lurking here. We sure don't have one anywhere near here.

Thanks for that link, Deacon AND Wickowick. I see there are none in Virginia and the closest Academy to me is in Knoxville, Tenn.

I have no idea why they did that or what's going on there. GC is going up in front of Sutherlands. 1 minute from my office
