Any one here fish it ? Is it worth giving it a try ? Have a kid in Shreveport and turns out that the neighborhood is near this area. Was thinking about bringing the yak and making a few casts.

Not 100% sure but I think that’s all private property. I believe that’s what is called Moon Lake now.

have a friend with one of the houses on that lake. Used to go skiing out there, and I think there was decent fishing, but I think the other poster is right about it being private property all around, at least as far as I can remember.

Did get our boat prop completely tangled in a fishing net and had to pull it out and cut the net out, so someone fishes on it.

The lake where Clyde Fant and E 70 tie in? That’s in Red River NWR now so it’s accessible to public.

Edit Was Bickham Dickson Park operated by the city. The 2016 flood took its toll, the city couldn’t clean it up, it was closed for a few yrs with trees and stuff all over the place. Via some means the Feds are now managing. I see folks fishing there all the time but it’s closed during high water.

Call the Feds and ax.

Do you have kids in any other areas?

Maybe some flooded timber or something?

Thanks. I saw an entrance at “Park Rd” and figured it was public. Also looks like it touches The Haven and LSU Shreveport

Used to see people fishing it a good bit, so I am guessing it is fine. I do remember when it was closed. Surprised it isn't covered in salvania, seems like Shreveport area is really losing the battle with a lot of their water up there to that. Classic duck hunting spots destroyed.
