Do you bring your vehicle to the dealership or the local shop to get oil changed?
**this is for those that don't change their own oil

Local shop and every 4500-5000 miles, not 3k.

Either at home or at WalMart. Some folks don’t realize that WalMart will do it with any oil on the shelf. I choose the oil and filter, and do it every 7,500 like the manual says.

Do mine at home. Ford 5.0 takes 2 jugs. First time I got the truck I took it to 5 min oil change and they asked if I wanted Mobil 1 and said sure. Worst $120 ever spent

Not to derail my own thread but you change oil in your F-150 every 10-15k miles?

Toyota does my 4Runner with synthetic. Last one was $65, with tire rotation, checked alignment and balance and they changed several settings for free.

Yep. Did it with my ‘12 that I sold with 175k on the clock with zero problems. My new one goes the same span.

Take it to the dealership every 4000-5000 miles

I’m with you. I have a 2006 Rover that my son drives that has 335,000 on it with 10,000 mile oil change intervals

It goes to the dealer every 5k. That way when I sell it I can validate the maintenance.

I change mine every 5-6000 miles. Most of the time myself, however occasionally I don't have time and have a different place do it.
Too easy to not do yourself and save money.

If you want to keep your man card this is the only answer

This is a myth, my ex's grandfather owns a shop, and he still takes his cars to take-5 for an oil change because it's just not worth fricking with for how cheap they do it.

Change your own damn oil.
Check your brakes, brake fluid, air filter, under carriage, etc, while your at it.

I change mine in the F150 every 10k miles as well. Full synthetic Mobil 1

Can't imagine paying any shop to do any routine maintenance on my vehicles.
