Anybody familiar with this hot bed of big bass? Numerous reports fisherman are pulling monsters on a regular basis out of there.

Never been but it’s all the rage right now. They are Livescoping giants out of there.

Went when I was a kid. There are some deep holes the bass sit in. We parked a pontoon boat, all the kids swam next the boat, and the adults were pulling in massive bass on shiners.

Texas has always got a lake or two that’s producing well. It’s very cyclic, they stock big fish genetics and manage bass intensively, just a matter of keeping up with what lakes are hot.

I’m not pulling a boat to the Permian to catch a few fish, but once Ivey is fished out maybe one a little further east will have been spared the pressure.

Definitely a big bass lake. I’ve had great and horrible days out there. Local knowledge is key.

FWIW, I prefer Sam Rayburn or Toledo Bend for just overall quality bass fishing. Lake Austin is on its way back as well now that the grass is coming back. It’s prob the easiest lake to catch bigger bass in the state.
