I see y'all talking about the front driveshaft. Wife drives a TJ and her u-joint is making noise on the shaft going from the transfer case to the front axle . She may put it in 4wd 3 times a year. I take it they'll be no harm done if I just remove the shaft until I get it fixed? Also, how much of a PITA is it to replace a u-joint? I've done a lot of mechanical work over the years, but just never needed to replace a u-joint. If I have access to a press, is that all I need?

U joint is easier than you think and can be done without a press.
I always just used a ball peen hammer .

The u-joint itself should be around $20.

You seem like a good guy to ask. Will a bikini top channel fit under a hard top?

Not on a TJ. I have a bikini top and hard top, and I can only have 1 or the other on at one time.

have you guys ever heard of a jeep not coming with power steering from the manufacturer? looking at a jeep on facebook, and the guy tells me it didn't come with power steering from the factory.

I'm not up to date on all of the latest options, but.... no power steering doesn't make any sense to me.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Sorry for not being specific. Do you have any experience driving one of these?

There is a website for Jeep where you can look up the specs/option that were on your vehicle by VIN number. I don't have a link to it but I bet someone here does.

What's a good option for a soft top on a JK? We would need everything, I think.

Personally, I would go with Bestop. They're not the cheapest but better quality.

Bestop for sure but do a lot of googling for prices. I have a TJ and bought the TrekTop which is the frameless version and uses the roll bars in the back for support. It also has the fastback look which I like and see on many of the JK and JKU Jeeps. I forget the actual prices but the usual places like quadratec and 4 wheel parts were expensive. I found it on another site for about $150 less and cheap shipping.

Gotta watch those shipping prices. Sometimes they will kill you on bulky items like this. I agree that Quadratec and 4WD sometimes have higher prices, but often they will ship for free. If you are local to one of their stores, you can sometimes get it shipped free to the store VERY quickly, if that is of any value to you.

I made the plunge. Traded my 2014 Grand Cherokee for a 2017 Wrangler Big Bear. I don't care for the decal on the hood but it had everything else I wanted. Now drain my wallet. What next?

Anyone know where I can find a 1995 Sahara? I've searched high and low for one in AL, FL, GA, LA, and MS on Craigslist. No luck. Tan or Green.
