Looks like the standard high-end apocalypse/battle rifle setup sold by FN, BCM, Noveske, Tri-arc, etc.

Great looking rig.

Thoughts on getting a 22 adapter?

I haven't checked prices on these things recently but at over $1/round for AR ammo would it make sense? I'd rather stockpile good ammo and not use it up in my backyard.

Crazy you used to buy a box of 22 ammo at Walmart for like $5 just a few years back. It wasn't much more than BBs.

Carson, did you say you sold your radian?

I called the other day and Radian said another 4-5 months on the builders kit I ordered in November.

That's crazy. I've seen it locally for 60-80 cents a round

How'd I do? First time milling an 80% lower, good friend walked me through the process.

What trigger are you running on that setup?

SD-E. I've pretty much converted all my ARs to SD-Es except for my SBR (which has an SD3G)

Gotcha, I've been looking at putting a better charging handle and trigger on it.. Just can't decide what to even look at.

This is my 1st AR so just trying to decide whats the best option.

If you don't want to break the bank on a trigger, a G2S will do just fine. Basically an SSA that's not individually inspected.

For charging handle, Radians all day

Thats what I was looking at.. As well as Strike industries.. But my issue with the Strike is that its cheap and my experience with parts 1/3 the price of others is quality..

With the SD-E trigger, does that have and echo or binary function?

Quick question for the board-

I just picked up a Bear Creek Arsenal 7.62 full upper, first time out was a fail.

Using Barnual and Wolf steel. It's what I have, along with Tula. Desire is to be able to shoot cheap Russian steel, not planning on it being a sniper rifle. Range toy only.

Fired for every shot. No issue with the firing pin, etc. That part seems good to go.
Extracted- zero times. First shot, with Wolf, things jammed up. Got it unstuck, each following shot (either brand), zero extraction. Parts appear to be correct, bolt seems undamaged. Extractor, I'm really unsure of... it is black, but the rim is white steel. But it's smooth and seems to look like it should, and the lip seems intact.

I pulled it, and there's no o-ring, just a spring and buffer. I fiddled with a makeshift o-ring and tried to hand-cycle, and it still doesn't grab the case.

When I say zero extraction, the spent case would rattle around inside, the extractor would not grab and pull it out. I could clear it by tipping the gun sideways, it would fall out (which is useless when the magazine is feeding another round).

I've contacted BCA, no response yet. Ideas (functional, not "throw it out")?

Hey Carson do you know what's the difference between the SD-E and the SSA-E? Is it just the shape of the trigger? I've got the ssa-e on all my guns and its been great.

yes, SD-E is just a flat SSA-E. Same stages and weights

Ok glad you said that, b/c that was my next question.. The idea of releasing the trigger and it going off is a bit odd.. Could be fun, but if your not expecting it it could be a bit dangerous..
