Hey guys. I’ve sold some hunting stuff lately and have come into enough dough to apply for a tax stamp for either a silencer or an SBR. I kind want an SBR just so I can have one but the idea of a silencer intrigues me. I want to experience the application process but I’m not sure which path to take.
Dothan just got a Rural King and they were selling Anderson receivers for $50. Thought that’d be a good place to start.

How cheaply can I build a 10.5" AR pistol? Don't want it to be a POS but don't need top of the line by any means although I do know I want the SBA3 brace.

quote:right now there really isnt a reason to build a SBR when the pistol braces shoulder so easily without the need for a stamp. with a SBR you have to alert the ATF if you transport the firearm across state lines. So if i were you i would get a suppressor. BUT with that.

Im at 160 days and 140 days on my 2 suppressors i bought this summer. Still nothing. At the time i bought i was expecting 150-170 days. But now the trend is more around 200.

I currently have a few AR15s and am interested in building an AR10 next. Should I stick with 308 or go with something else? I'm not a hunter, this will just be used for shooting for fun, and I don't reload.

if i were building a AR10, it would be a 6.5 creedmore. but it would be more expensive to shoot than the 308. there are a TON of youtube videos on the comparison.

Anyone getting in on the Geissele Black Friday drops?
MK16 rail kits in four different anodized colors: DDC, black, green and grey. Choose either the 9.3 or 13.5, comes with the airborne charging handle in matching color.
And 10" MK4 federal contract rails previously unavailable
I'm probably going to pick up a 9.3" MK16 in DDC.

They have kits for $330 minus stripped receiver and sights on PSA. But you’re gonna end up dropping money in it trust me.
The sba3 kits are like 400

That's a nice rifle. Will definitely look into the Creedmoor.

Thinking of doing a pistol build. 10.5" bbl.
Was looking at the Noveske Pig to mitigate the business end. Anyone have any experience with these?

I have a KAK on my 300BLK. Love shooting it.

Also, can y'all give me some guidance on the in's and out's of AR pistol ownership? That shite seems confusing.

At the most basic level: buy a stripped lower/pistol lower. Never put a “stock” on it. Good to go.
Adding foregrips is where it gets more tricky.

The whole shouldering thing has me a bit confused.
Do "handstop" type foregrips muddy the waters?
