If anybody looking for clear purple Lancer mags, gunmagwharehouse has them but limited quantity available. Pretty neat looking.

Looks like they're out of red ones.

That thing was stupid quiet on that 300blk bolt gun with a wipe!

How does that differ from the one dead air used and was told it’s a “silencer part” by the atf?

Honestly, I wish EA would not have included wipe compatibility with this silencer. It completely distracts everyone away from the fact they are using a material never before used in the silencer game. Not just another 17-4 SS, Stellite, etc. K baffle Silencer that everyone else and their mom is doing and basing decibel levels off completely arbitrary equipment and standards. The acceptance of a wipe is just an added bonus. To my knowledge there is only one public determination letter on wipes and destroying the one you have before making a new one seems kosher. Consult your attorney before the internet. But the wipe aspect of this can is an added bonus, not a make or break criteria.

Oh yea I realize the material is something special as well. The wipe thing is just a bonus...I was just wondering about that part of it after watching the vid.

If I were building an AR9, I would be going for a QC10 glock or mp5 lower and probably build my own upper. As far as a silencer, I would say Rugged Obsidian 9 or 45, Dead Air Wolf 9SD, or Dead Air Ghost 45.

why is that? throw the glock out cause i dont like them or their followers.

Why the mp5? and does it have to be SBRed or does it run a pistol brace?

Mp5 mags are proven and work well. They look good in that lower too. You can run it as a pistol. Just order the lower to an FFL and build as pistol.

oohh the QC 10 is the glock mag ar9. ok i thought it was that one that was basically a glock 19 in a case.

SO i have a extra stripped lower thats im trying to figure out with to do with it. thats why i was looking to just get a prebuild cheap PSA upper and build the lower to match it for 9mm.

Anyone else heard of abnormally quick Form 1 approvals? I know two people who filed Form 1s (both E-file and Trust) that were approved in just over two weeks. If you want to SBR anything, now might be the time.

Just the excuse I needed to make a move on an SR-15 lower

you serious clark? i might need to send in one of my lowers then, just to do it.

I have an extra lower, what should i use it for? im think of getting a cheap PSA 9mm upper just for plinking.

Was told today that it’s about 8 months wait for silencers right now.

Yay.

Question for you fine gentlemen...

I have this Armalite AR:

The barrel is 13", but the brake is pinned and welded so that it's not an SBR. How big of a pain in the arse would it be to un-pin-and-weld it to convert it to an SBR with a threaded barrel to receive a silencer?

I'm itching to take advantage of the insanely fast e-file times right now.

Zero pain in the arse if you drop it off to a gunsmith and let them do it.

You’d be better off to just buy a new barrel than trying to unpin and cut the weld, unless you just wanted to cut it and thread it.

ETA: you will obviously need a gunsmith or machine shop to cut the barrel and thread.

Still maintain a new barrel would be easier
