So since it fits the omega I’m assuming it fits the hybrid as well? What about the dead air stuff that use the same keymo parts?

I didn’t have any issues with the first several thousand rounds. Now I have issues with carbon lock, tube coming loose but not mount, and I can loosen it while the locking ring is engaged after an extended period of shooting. I was going to buy the Dead Air Mount for it until I saw the Plan B

im kinda lost on these mounts? Do these mounts make it to where you dont need to have your barrel threaded?

If you get your barrel threaded, do you need to use these mounts?

These mounts replace you threaded in flashhider so that you have a permanent flashhider and or muzzlebreak that acts as a way to mount a suppressor to. It’s an option rather than just a standard direct thread mount.

your barrel has to be threaded no matter what. the muzzle device that threads onto your barrel is what attaches to the QD module on the suppressor.

The Omega comes with a QD and a direct thread mount, so no, you dont need a mount if you'd rather DT

Oohh ok. Yeah I know ars have a threads for the mb/flash hider. I was thinking more towards other rifles.

So the main purpose if this is to be able to remove the suppressor and shoot the rifle without having to put the muzzle device back on?

You can shoot it with out a MD. The QD mounts (any brand) is to allow quicker switching between different rifles, locking the can on securely so it doesn’t loosen after shooting, and protecting the barrels threads because that may not be an easy fix.

You can direct thread the can to your barrel threads but you have to make sure not to cross thread. And sometimes the can starts to loosen up after shooting and you have to tighten it. If it gets too loose the bullet can hit the baffles in the can and mess it up.

Direct thread cans makes for the shortest and lightest package.

Nice let us know what ya think.

I got this little fellah in yesterday. I may sell off my MCX I never SBRd that has a 16” .223 and 9” 300blk. It will never be as lite as this 2a rig and I can keep this as a pistol for good if I want.

I might get there 22lr upper for it as well but might wait and see if they do a shorter one.

I think I am going to swap out to there titanium adjustable BCG. I can send them my new one and get the other for $75 I think they said. It should also drop that 6oz for a even 4lb.

Is that a 8" barrel? 5.56?

Looks good. I built one in 5.56 with a 10.5" and the same brace.
It's fun to shoot.

8” 300blk. They have a 8” 5.56 but I don’t think I want a 556 that short. I have a 11.5 I built in 5.56.

I may change out to a SBA3 adjustable brace. I think I can just take off the KAK buffer tube and put on a std one on and put the SBA3 brace?

Why change it? The Shockwave Blade makes a good stock.

Because I like the adjust ability of the SBA3. I like the shockwave on my other build...just want something different. Can collapse to make it small for travel then can extend so I have a good LOP. Like a SBR...but no 200 and no 8 month wait and the other stuff that comes with it. I may SBR anyway one day.

CR most purpose built light pistol/rifles are pricey. You can get it pretty light and be reasonable tho.

This is a large database of parts weight that you can use to look at certain items weight and shop for the price range you want.

I wouldn’t consider mine light weight but I did build it very cheap. Like $400 or less.

ETA: I did have to redrill the gas port in the barrel. It was .05 or less. I drilled it to .07 something and runs perfect now.

It uses a carbine buffer extension. I don’t see how it legal as a brace. It uses a regular carbine buffer tube and is adjustable...but it is a pistol brace.

There's nothing that says a brace cannot be adjustable nor is there anything that classifies receiver extensions as a rifle or pistol. In the past proprietary receiver extensions have been made to mitigate any concern from consumers of getting wrongly accused. A brace merely has to be intended for the use as such. As the line keeps getting blurred I am just waiting for someone to submit a regular stock to the Tech Branch for determination stating if their intent is to use it as a brace is it classified as a brace and not a stock.
