I assume Honeybadger is a two-stamp gun?
the long version is. they're not offering an integral version and they assured me that the DT cans will not unscrew because of the tapered thread mount. if you bought the 2-stamp badger, that is the only way you can get the 1.5" HB can. It won't be offered on its own

Word, so if you buy it with the can included it's a pinned can?

Anyone have a good place to get a Lower engraved around the Baton Rouge area?
Built a 300 BLK SBR and hopefully stamps arnt to far off. Is it just the trust name, city and state that is engraved on said lower?

So I have never owned an AR or even shot one. I've been thinking about getting a 15-22 for quite a while as an intro. After handling my neighbor's I decided to go ahead and get one. Instead of buying one already assembled I went ahead and built my own since. I do not like the A1 style, have various tools already, and am good with my hands. Its pretty much a budget AR with small splurges here and there. So far everything is assembled with the exception of the handguard and tightening the castle nut. After some research I went with a 18" .223 Wylde barrel, basic Anderson upper and lower, Magpul MOE grip and adjustable stock, PSA lower kit, UTG PRO M-LOK handguard, Geissele SSA-E, and WMD NiB-X BCG. What I need help with is suggestion on sights (both open and red dot) and foregrip. I don't need anything expensive or special as this is just going to be a plinker. Later on I will probably build another much nicer rifle.

So how much do you want to spend?

Basically the least amount that will get the job done w/o being garbage. Its just going to be a plinker out to 100 yds and in home self defense. I want something that will get the job done but not fall apart. I know there are hundreds of options out there in this category so the better question might be what brands or styles to stay away from instead.

For irons, buy a USGI or Colt carry handle from the Equipment Exchange at AR15.com

Look at the primary arms micro advanced. Also, I've been seeing the vortex strike fire 2 with the mount for 150 on slick guns.

No telling...my guess would be seller is either in deep doo-doo or he's trying to establish some feedback/credibility on GB. There is also a $20 shipping charge to help him out.

Primary is only about 30 minutes away. I may swing by there Saturday to look at that one. The Vortex looks nice also. Thank you for the suggestions.

What's the general consensus on Aero Precision?
I've got the itch to build a budget 300 BLK pistol.
Quality better, worse, or on par with Palmetto?

I think it's worth the risk for $136
