Pretty damn good for an 18" w/ full length rail, thanks to that Faxon gunner barrel.

Have one. No problems with it. I needed somwthing a little longer than a standard muzzle device to get the end of the barrel out from under the hand guard on my pistol build and it worked great.

What's the point of a break like this? I read pistols discharge more gas and trash out of the end of the barrel, and this break helps keep everything moving forward out of the barrel instead of it coming back onto the shooter.

Idk if the KaK has the cone in it, but my Noveske has their KX5 which has a threaded baffle that sits in there to create more back pressure.

It's not a brake. A brake has chambers and is meant to mitigate recoil using the force of the propellant gas. A brake is a specific type of muzzle device, not a generic term to describe all muzzle devices. This particular one is pretty much the exact opposite of a brake since it's main purpose is to direct the report forward and not back towards the shooter.

As mentioned by Chat, it does not create back pressure like Noveske's copy of the Krinkov muzzle device.

I wouldn't be surprised if KAK made those for Noveske. It's scarily identical. 35 bucks vs 150 bucks

I would agree but materials are different and the Noveske has the baffle in it.

Looking at lights and scopes for my new build.

Streamlight TLR-1 HL for $140 or Surefire X300 for $270?

Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 at $330 or Leupold VX-R Patrol for $599.99?

Looking at reviews and some internet research I actually like the cheaper options more but maybe I'm missing something. Am I just paying for the brand names with Leupold and Surefire?

The HL is awesome. The one Carson has was really nice just messing around with it. Only thing I would say is that if you pointed at a white wall, it could be blinding for you.

Looks like they are both full auto rated too. What is funny is that KAK on their website said it isn't meant for suppressing the flash which brings to question on why they named it that

Vortex Strike Eagle went for $280 at Primary Arms last week.

Leupold VX-R 3-9x40mm Patrol(#113771) $515- Ebay
Leupold VX-R Patrol Hog 1.25-4x20mm(#113769) $475 Ebay

I'm close to getting the Leupold VX-R 3-9x40mm(#110686) Fire Duplex reticle for $425 -ebay.

I don't care for the reticle on the Vortex Strike Eagle. Glass clarity is merely okay from all the reports I'm reading. Some fish eye effect also.

Heres a very good youtube review of the strike eagle.

LINK

I just prefer the Primary Arms 1-6x reticle. Overall, its still a very solid scope for its price point.

Vortex Strike Eagle $276 on amazon

I have a new Ruger AR556. I would like to take the stock Foreend off and install a key mod . What are my options? I'm new to all the AR stuff and the options are overwhelming . I also plan on adding a EO tech type sight. Thanks in advance

Anywhere else I should be looking at for ammo(500-1000 rds)?

Sportsman Guide Wolf Gold for 55g .223 500rds/$155 shipped?

Freedom ammo is about same price for 55g reman ammo.
