Can you fire 5.56 out of the Wylde chamber
Yes, you can fire 556. The wylde allows for all the 223-556 variations
Why the BCM BCG vs the failzero?

.28 is very good for brass. 223 bulk, .31 or so is the lowest oh can find wolf gold online

BCM has a better track record. I'm sure fail zero is fine, but BCM is proven and it's the only BCG I'll run in any build.

I know aimpoint is the gold standard, but is the T2 really worth the extra money over the h2 or the Pro?

Pretty sure the only major difference in the H and T is the ability to use night vision out of the T1/2. I only got the T1 because I got a deal on it. So go for the H model, pros are great too, can't go wrong with any Aimpoint IMHO

Any place you recommend buying from?
Optics planet has t2's for $650 including shipping but no mount. But I was gonna get the Larue mount anyway.

Get a lightly used T1 off of arfcom or m4carbine for $500 or so

Looks like a good deal with the $75 worth of gear they threw in to compensate for the regulated aim point price. Too bad I just bought all my pmags (10 total).

Love the LRP mount on my T1

Carson, I'm leaning Larue with a T2. Anything unusual with the setup or is it pretty straightforward?
I'm pretty convinced on Larue as the starting point for mounts, but I'm building 2 more rifles over the next 12 months - just want to finish the current one with optics and start on Mrs. Midnight's general purpose AR.

Just curious as to why you guys are using qd mounts instead of fixed mounts.
More for market research than anything.

If I ever have to use the BUIS it's always easier to use them sans optic.

Not Carson, but if you have the funds, you wont regret it.
Get the 2 MOA, not the 4. I got the 4 MOA as part of the deal and its not nearly as precise when trying to range out. For all practical purposes, if I need my rifle, it will be inside 25 yards and the 4 MOA will be fine. But on range day, its another story.

I thought 5 was fine and 10 was overkill.
How many are you talking about?
Posted on 8/17/16 at 8:11 am to Mahootney
I have around 60 pmags (5.56) and I don't feel like I have enough lol
