My .300 has an 8.5" barrel.
My sub reloads I'm using IMR4227 which is a pistol powder. Most .300 powders are for pistols.

Gonna be the same.
The great thing about the .300 is that you can drop down to 110-125 or so and have a round that can be a deer round or 200+ and have subs.

My SBR is listed as a 7.5" 5.56

Once the stamp is approved your free to change out uppers to different lengths and calibers. If you ever try to sell and do a former 4 transfer it will have to be in the original configuration on your form 1. That is what is in the registry.

Appreciate the explanations. That's what I thought but a local gun store told me different and had me second guessing.

Change in plan...did a .223 with a 10.5". 300 ammo is just too damn expensive since I dont reload. Maybe down the line...

Are you building the upper or buying a full upper?
