Good stuff. I've shot a couple thousand rounds of it with no issue. Def a hotter round than the PMC .223.

What price are you getting on it?

What 300blk ammo are you guys shooting? Picked up 6 boxes of Barnes Vor-TX 110r but $33/box can't happen. I have access to all the reloading equipment I could need but I want to buy some cheaper factory rounds and hold on to the brass.

My favorite steel case I can get locally is the Monarch stuff from Academy.

Monarch (Russian) isn't too bad in pistols. Pistols are generally easier to clean than rifles, though. Most of the old Eastern Bloc ammo is dirty and, even if "non-corrosive" is more problematic, long-term than shooting from major U.S. manufacturers.

Def not
Wolf was rumored to make .300BLK for years now, but still nothing. It would be nice if they came out with it for around .40 or .45/rd

Now that would be nice. Do you do any reloading for the 300blk?

I am brand new to the 300 blk myself. I just picked up some remington 120 gr at wally world for $16/20 rnds and was a little pissed when i took them out the box and noticed that the primers are crimped. I think i am just going to suck it up and order some new hornady brass for reloading. I have my rcbs dies and shell holder on the way from amazon right now. Where did you find your barnes Vor-Tx? My local academy doesn't have it.

No, I don't. I think you have to shoot quite a bit to make it worth it, and unfortunately I don't shoot enough

Anybody have experience with the 1-4 power optics made for the AR?

How does it compare at 1x to shooting with a red dot?

I have a Bushnell 1-4X AR Optic I use on my 223 AR. Works differently than the Red Dot for me when shooting 1x. The scope is a scope and behaves like a scope. Take your eye out of a narrow field of view and you start getting that eclipse effect of your view through the scope. Parralex free red dont I can shoot with a wider range of head positions and still see the entire field of view without the eclipse effect. The biggest difference though it the illuminated recticle. It's just easier to see in a wider range of conditions for me. But you also have to take the time to adjust the brightness/color or it can be difficult to see as well.

I find my 1-4x scope is either at 1x or 4x. I think I'd spend the extra money next time and get the version that has the lever which allows you do quickly go from 1x to 4x and back. I know those levers are popular with the 3 gunners to go from distance to close up shooting quickly.
