Maybe the madness is coming to an end. AR's appear to be in stock in most places these days. Now if the ammo would just follow suit.

Yeah, it seems as though I am seeing everything starting to slowly trickle into stock. Have seen some AR's at Simmons and Bowies, PMags in stock (were about $5 more than normal though) and ammo sparingly.

I've got 15 on backorder with DSG and cabela's. Gonna cancel one of those later tonight. With the 5 I got from your link I have 10 already.

Thats why I asked. I've got enough pmags and elanders to last for a while.

Not to change the topic, but does anyone have any info on how "blemished" the PSA uppers are?

Nothing you can say will come close to the negative comments I have for them. I hope they get violated with a cactus filled with lemon juice.

GB, sorry but no idea.

I have 7 tapco, 7 gen three pmags, 15 gen two pmags, 10 D&H, 6 elanders, 2 gen two window pmags, and my original mag.

All lost in the tragic boating accident on 3/30/13.

From what I've gathered on their FB feeds they have a smudge, scratch or something along those lines. Not too too bad the ones I've seen.

You could always repaint/recoat them.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to use my lowers to build.

I know I'm going with a .300 and probably another 5.56 (maybe a 20") with 2 of my lowers but I'm trying to decide what to use the others to build

7.62x39mm
.458 socom
6.8SPC
rifles not pistols
9mm
.40sw
.45acp
10mm

I'm leaning towards the 7.62x39 and maybe a 9mm. then saving the others for future builds when new stuff comes out or another build of one I already have but with some different features. The possibilites are endless the money however is limited.

On one hand I want a 5.45 conversion, but on the other I DO NOT WANT to clean that corrosive shite out of the AR platform. AK? No problem, run some water over it and rub some dirt on it. AR? No, thanks. But no.

.458 socom FIL has one, very nice but $$$
6.8SPC No need with the 300BLK
rifles not pistols
9mm Yes
.40sw NO
.45acp NO
10mm NO

Build a 300BLK with a 16" barrel for hunting. Build a 300BLK with a 8" barrel for dicking around. You can register it as a pistol while you wait for your Form 1 to clear.
Build a 9mm if you want a pistol caliber.
If you want a long range AR, build a AR10, not a 6.5/6,8. Much cheaper and easier to find parts/ammo for.

that requires an ar10 lower am I correct. I was thinking about building a .308 for long distance shots.

only reason I was considering a 9mm cause I have a ton of that at my house and I will probably just buy an ak47 for the 7.62x39mm.

all this is just speculation as I probably will only build one this year and it will be another 5.56 or a .300.
