Call your local NRCS. They may be able to do it for little cost if not free

Pasture will require a little more work due to hard pan Will have to rip it

Calling it pasture. There are no animals or fences on it right now. Just rolling hills with grass that gets bush hogged every so often. Potentially moving to poplarville and this is the situation at the top contender. Might be going look at it again this weekend.

Yeah if cattle have ever been on it will have to be ripped or sub soiled. Depending on what grasses are there they may want you to herbicide to reduce competition to the seedlings.

What parish? If you are in longleaf pine country, you have many options

To plant hardwood it will run you around $180/ac, pine about $95/ac. If planting old pasture, with lots of grass(especially Bahia) it is a good idea to band the trees with a herbaceous treatment to control the grass.

Don't tell me that... They came and cut every 3rd row (I think) last year and they got rid of the stumps. I just wanna get drunk and have fun. Still mad the family decided to do it
