I dont have a dog in this fight, (yuk yuk),
but I knew there were lots of pics being posted and saw SpicyStacy was in here so I had hoped there were some pics of her puppies.

I agree, I'm bored and I'd also like to see pics of Stacy's puppies.

My shorthairs get confused with dalmatians more times than not. Are you looking for a hunting dog, and if so, what are you looking to hunt? A few litters are advertised on louisianasportsman.com. If you catch choupiquesushi on the board, raise the question to him, he knows a few guys that have litters from time to time...

I like to duck hunt and do the occasional dove hunt.

My roommate had a GSP and I loved that damn thing. We hunted with it a bunch (woodcock, duck, etc) and I am trying to get another one. I'm a little cautious though because it will be my first dog. I'm looking on LA sportsman but they are always so damn expensive. For example:

Any suggestions/advice? I guess I'll just keep my eyes and ears open. I'm worried I'll get impatient and settle for a lab. Not a bad deal either way though (GSP or lab).

Are you looking for a house dog or a field trial/hunting dog?

I mean, it's not like I'm going to train him for competitions or anything...but I'm definitely going to hunt with it (if he/she cooperates). It will be in the house most of the day, but I'm fairly active (in my mid 20's). So I have no doubt in my mind he'll get enough exercise.

The dog will never get enough, but more than likely just enough. They just don't quit.

My female came from Folsom, might be the same guy. Papers looked good and she hunts great, like a machine, but... She isn't smart like my male.

The dog will hunt, it is breed into them. If you hunt birds, they will hunt birds. If you hunt squirrels, they will hunt squirrels. How about hogs, they will do that also. Want to track deer, they do that… If you are going to hunt ducks, make sure the parents have a good retrieving background. Mine will retrieve, but they hate it.

A couple more because I am gone from home...

So far with my labs training I have him gun trained and yesterday had him doing triples. Got him to do a double with one being a blind this afternoon.

This little dog of mine is smart as a whip and I'm pretty proud of him considering he's just 5 months.

My biggest problem is he is becoming my wife's dog.
