I know the perfect place for u to explain this. Uncle Bud's on Larto Saturday morning, there will be a fine crowd that would love to hear your explanation of how they are "just wrong". Goodluck, and watch out for them loggerheads

Y'all could call it a turd perch for all I care but you shouldn't call a fish by another fishes name. Just like calling a lion a tiger.

Be that as it may, it's a superior strategy than suddenly throwing out a French phrase when in America. One that doesn't even describe a fish. It's so stupid it makes me ashamed of my heritage. Do you know how many "sheep(s)head" there are?

Anybody who calls a crappie a white perch is just wrong. I understand why people do it and it's okay, just know your wrong. Kinda like calling an alligator snapping turtle a loggerhead snapping turtle, we grew up doing it but it's wrong. Kinda like some dumbass in Canada that see a catfish and calls it a pike, it's okay that they call it a pile up in Canada but they are wrong

Just like people in Louisiana that call a Water Oak a Pin Oak. It's completely wrong. Pin Oaks do not grow anywhere near Louisiana.

Many of us were reprimanded repeatedly in Forestry class at LSU for calling Quercus Nigra a Pin Oak.

I'll never forget Dr. Noble saying "I don't care what your daddy and granddaddy call it, it's not a Pin Oak!"

This is true, BUT its Academy FTW. Both Cabela's and BPS are WAY overpriced.
