I once shot what looked to be a pair of German shepards chasing a 200# 8-point. Turns out they were coy dogs rather than deer dogs. I wouldn't shoot a collared dog, just take it to the pound. MY dad and I once rounded up a man's cattle and took them to the stockyard because he wouldn't keep them on his property. He cut his fence and let them graze on our food plots every year starting in December for about 5 years. We were polite with him, then warned him, then rounded up every last one and sent him a message. He got his cows back, we never had a problem again.
