I could easily see his happening at my home Walmart in the great state of Beauregard Parish

For a while we had an arrow one of our buddies had shot from Sonic sticking out of the Wal Mart sign when we were in high school

True story, it is legal to shoot hogs inside city limits in Jacksonville TX as long as you have a hunting licence and notify the sherrif.
This was prompted by people being chased to their cars in the parkinglot of.....
Walmart.

my uncle saw a nice 8 point run through the Piggly Wiggly parking lot in Columbiana Alabama one night. Said he was just waiting for the shots to ring off

In high school, I was riding with a buddy to a football game one evening near dusk. There was an 8 pointer grazing in the football practice field.
There were woods across the street, so we got out and sat along the tree line, anticipating the buck would go that direction.
He did. BAM!
Sheriff Brady came over from the stadium, shrugged, and complimented on a nice buck. Principal came over all pissed off. Sheriff explained:
-It was deer season
-My buddy had a hunting license
-Not in city limits
-Not on school property
-Back then, there wasn't a law saying how far you had to be away from a road.
Whole bunch of people gathered around as we cleaned it right there in the ditch.
Sooo...
