They look damn good! I am fixing to do the same with an old barn table and turn it onto a formal dinning room table.

That is a bench. I have some slabs that I think they are around 20" wide by 1 1/2" to 2" thick. Oh, about 12' long. They are still a little wet to work with, but they would make a sweet patio table or farm table. They will be good to work with in about a month. Moisture should be down below 20%.

I would also use live edge for the siding, under the table. Could also custom cut for the legs.

Reason I have these slabs is that it is the second or third cut off the tree which has a lot of knots. Only good thing for that is 1 by's or slabs.

Nice table. You can buy some felt that you can glue on the bottom of the table legs. Helps level somewhat and keeps from scratching a wood floor if you have one.

Thought this group might enjoy this. These are some drops from the end of a tabletop I'm building. I wanted to see how strong the glue joints were so I tried to break them. Some of these have biscuits in them as well. The wood broke way before the joints. These are two of several pieces I broke.

It's crazy how strong glue is. I use titebond ii and haven't had any problems.

When I finish it I'll post some photos of the outdoor fireplace I'm working on. Have to finish bricking the chimney, putting in the firebrick and then do a slurry to match the house. It's at the end on our new patio my wife and I built. Pretty proud of it so far.

I started using Gorilla glue. You just have to be careful to not use that much. It expands a lot. Water activates it.

Got about 95% of the siding up, eves all blocked in and even install a treatment plant along with digging a 30'x30'x 5' deep settlement pond that is about 400' away from the camp. I still have to install a lift station from the treatment plant to the pond. Waiting on the pipeline people to mark lines. I have to cross one.

Saw a couple of these oaks yesterday. I'm was in need of some 16', 6"x6" beams along with some 1" bys for cabinet building for the camp.

Got a couple more to do today along with going pick up a few pine logs.

Got daughter #2's crib all built and put together finally. Took the wife longer to decide on color of paint/stain.

I still have to build the mattress support but I've got until September. Still finishing the other furniture.

I always get excited when this thread gets bumped. Quality craftsmen in here. Current projects: Floating shelves for living room, box to store pocket knives (gift request) and bird houses to mount to my fence posts.
