Natchez/Vidalia nostalgia thread

Yeah, ready to leave work and head to camp!
Anyone 50 plus remember the LPL (louisiana power and light) animated guy that would tell you the weather? Not sure what news station it was, but around the mid-late 70s, this little weather animated cartoon guy would essentially walk out of his house, and if forecast was rain, a cloud would pop up and start raining on him. Or sunny, would be sunny and he would sit on a lounge chair or whatever.
Use to put all my faith as a 5-6 year old on that thing and hope he could dictate the weather! Those were the best of times.

That was him! Freddy! Tried to find YouTube of it but only one they have now is a new version that sucks. Ready to get out of this office and get a box of Popeyes in route to the camp.

Freddy the knoe weather guy. I have a VHS tape somewhere of all the freddy forecasts that a guy from knoe gave me.

You would win the internet if you could figure out how to transfer that to YouTube. I'm not close to 50 but Some of my earliest memories are getting excited to see what was going to happen with Freddy.

The best where the ones where he came out and saw the sun and got excited "ooooo" then the cloud came out "arhhhh".

We had one channel and not a damn thing for kids outside of one hour in the afternoon and 4 hours on Saturday, Freddie had to fill the gap
