Maybe you crossed streams and it cancelled each other out.

I read an article a few months back about a texas rancher frequently pissing on scrapes only to return later that afternoon to hunt that particular scrape. He believed it challenged the buck making the scrape in the first place.

I don't use them. Five years ago I killed a 6 point while smoking a cigarette after I scared two deer away on the way to my stand. I know that's not typical, but I don't feel the need for them.

bloodhounds trace your dead skin. Pretty amazing, really.

The whole scent thing is overrated imo.

I know wind plays a part and hunt it to my advantage (especially early season) but if a buck wants to go someplace NOW and the wind is not in his favor he's going anyway. They can smell with the wind at their back and use their eyes to see what's in front of em.

During full rut in Tensas Parish ( Christmas day thru January 5th or so....the wind don't make much difference anyways.

I've heard that there isn't any difference in human urine, and deer urine, aside from subtle dietary differences(both mammals). Now deer do have other glands, and use pissing on their tarsals, to help identify themselves(peri-orbital,etc.), but its not the pure urine that ID's them. Some studies using game cameras had as many deer visits with human urine scrapes, as buck scrapes. So pissing in a scrape might work, especially if you don't leave a scent trail up to it.

Just think. He could do this instead.

Scent-Lock is the company that lost their false advertising lawsuit. Anyone ever noticed that the Brock Lesner Scent Killer ad say 99% effective at removing REPLICATED (fake) human odor. I do use the detergent though because it doesnt fade camo like the unscented tide/Cheer/Gains do.

Friend of mine keeps his clothes in a container with crushed acorns.

He said that definately helps, but his secret is to use listerine right before he leaves his truck.

hunting the wind is the best thing you can do..

my dad used to hunt while smoking in the stand and drinking beer and peeing out of the stand, but he hunted the wind, and he killed more deer than any of us on property that didnt have that many deer
