I along with my climbing club attempted to summit the Middle Sister mountain in Central Oregon and were successful. We backpacked in 5 miles and made camp along a snow fed creek at roughly 6800 feet. We packed in friday, summited on saturday, and came back today. I now have summited 2 of the 3 sisters. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I did taking them.

My view from camp.

Our water source, about as fresh as it gets.

Broken Top on the left, South Sister on the right.

Working our way up.

Just about to reach the Hayden Glacier. Crampons were a must.

Hayden Glacier

Almost to Prouty Point and the ridge.

We follow this ridge all the way up. About 800 feet of elevation gain left in a distance of 4/10's of a mile.

My first view of all the prominent Cascade volcanoes to the north. From L-R....Mt. Washington, Three Fingered Jack, Mt. Jefferson, and Mt. Hood.

Almost there.

Summit photos.

From L-R, Broken Top, Mt. Bachelor, and the South Sister.

North Sister.

The Husband.

What part of Oregon are you in?
Is that near Mt Hood?

It isn't nearly as scary as you think. It always look worse until you're up there.

Thanks, I certainly earned it.

Roger!

It's good to be back. I wasn't even in the state 24 hours and I was in the wilderness. Excellent timing.

It was absolutely amazing. Even better I climbed with two friends who I hadn't seen in almost a year.

I just got back. Not sure where I'll be at. Currently in Columbia City, about 35 miles from Portland. I'll most likely be in Portland.

You come here for business? Looking to see some amazing scenery?

SB, the location is where the star is on this map. In that general area.
