Was in the low 80s. Left the rig at 6am and was there throughout the morning. Went to black river last and did some swimming when it got hot. Saw lots of bass but they also saw me

They were black bass. Also caught a white but I dropped him when I was taking the pic

Guadalupe bass are southeast of here though

Was waiting on that. Chewed them my whole life. Trying to quit. I been putting nail polish remover on them and it has kept them out my mouth.

Black river down 418 off hwy 62. Worth it just to see it. Pretty cool little spot.

Heard you can do well below the dam north of carlsbad

I think it was called cottondale day area.
0.7 mike hike to dam or fish right by the parking area. Don't try to follow the trail along the river. It's overgrown bad

Was also a rattlesnake springs area but didnt go there.
