Nice work man, Im about to run electrical and plumbing to get mine started. I have a bit more to do than you, but plan on doing all of it myself, sans pouring/ finishing the slab. Just curious, did you look into metal frame or just went with wood, I keep going back and forth, never built anything out of metal, but afraid of rot/ fire with wood.
Trying to stay under $15K, so Im glad to see they can be done for around that price if you DIY.

ETA: I can see how he got to that price, $3k easy for a built in gas grill, around $1K for the egg & stainless doors are not cheap. Hell thats about 1/2 way right there. Depending on existing plumbing/ electrical plus he paid someone to do the stucco and tile...

yeah...considering I remodeled my entire kitchen for less than $10k, including all new appliances, I do not know how that cost $12k if he did it all himself

but it certainly looks awesome

That cost probably included all the doors, drawers, grills, sink, hardware, burner, fridge. Those items add up very quick and are not cheap. He probably had less that $1k in construction material...

Tile is one of the things I haven't done. Just seems like a pain.

From what I have heard, it is pretty comparable in price. Did you contract out or DIY?
Look good BTW.

Excellent setup and top notch work.

Is there a particular reason you put the access doors for the gas grill on the outside of the bar instead of the inside?

It seems logical for something you don't access a whole lot but they are usually the other way.

Tile work was about 1500. I would not do myself. So many little cuts/angles

Good point. I had the opportunity to put on the backside with easy access, and improves the look of it all.
