I’m tired of buying a new head every time I turn around. This shite is getting old. I’ve had many leak and fill with water and ruin the screen . some just quit for no reason,, one I have every time it goes off it resets itself to factory seatings. Had screens get so light I can’t see them to change settings..the battery thing that tells u how much battery is left is always full then when it’s time to go off it doesn’t have enough juice left to spin the plate... and coons climb the legs and tore up the solar panels that weren’t working to begin with....they just suck arse! And that’s all I got to say about that

Sorry for the bad luck, but in my experience, Moultrie has been the best feeders I have found. I run about 8 of them and they work great and have the best battery life of any feeders I’ve ever used.

I agree, but I've found that even the expensive ones are junk. If it helps I've found that getting the tubs that come full of range cubes (cattle farmers) thrown over the top for a lid fixes all leaking issues and makes filling easy.

Had the same problem. Mine was hung to a tree. Coins climbed and I think had something to do with the damage. Water ruined the screen. Won’t ever by another one. Ever.

I bought a One and Done. Have some buddies that have some as well. So far so good. I like the design.

Have some boss bucks, but the gravity feeders come with their own problems.

Turn it into a gravity feeder. Will never use another feeder with timer.

I put a bead of dielectric grease where the cover meets up to seal out water and it’s helped, but I haven’t found any of them that will last more than a couple seasons before the motor wears out or screen dies. It’s just part of it, they’re all made from the same cheap Chinese parts and are essentially disposable. Probably making the switch to gravity feeders to not have to deal with it.

Just wait til you try those built by Wildgame Innovations. Then you'll appreciate Moultrie even more. If you are wanting some real great throwers. Look at those made by On Time in Ruston, LA. Their Classic Lifetime and Elite Lifetime have a lifetime warranty. They ever quick working send them in or drop off in Ruston for repair. Oh and install a varmint cage. Those pesky racccoons will damage any style/brand of feeder. Those corn fed coons will weigh 20-30 lbs, and them hanging from your feeder will break them.

I’ve had mine for 6 years and swapped the battery once a YEAR. No issues. (I will say it’s in the back yard feeding Subdivison deer and runs 4 sec once per day)

Its 2020, who even uses electric feeders anymore? haven't we all learned gravity style or supplied feeders work the best? Even your big ranches have stopped. How are folks still spending money on these.

Our gravity feeders get emptied in about 2weeks. 300# in 2 weeks. With feeder pens so no hogs. 12 feeders. Do the math. That’s a LOTTA corn, not to mention having to fill feeders every 2weeks.

Yea we keep our full, Wednesday or Thursday is fill day. We also mix protein and minerals in as well. Its not about hunting a feeder and keeping it from running out. Its about supplemental additions to the diet. Never hunt the feeder itself anyways. No one in there right mind does that. Even though you see it on them doe hotels on FB. Hunt the paths going and coming to it, and from bedding areas and other food sources. They will never shy from it if never shot on it.

We have bears so gravity feeders are not an option. We have to jack ours up with a winch so they don’t get demolished. Timed feeders are what we have to use.

In bear areas its way smarter to not feed anything. Why would you want to tempt to keep a bear in the area be it by an E feeder or gravity. Just hunt the paths and deer sign and don't create your own problem. I see people complain constantly about Bears..... everyone complaining created the problem for themselves.
