We like to entertain at our house and have crawfish boils and bbq's. The only problem is sometimes the damn mosquitoes and other flying bugs get really bad. We have a couple tiki torches but only help a little. What are some other ways to get rid of these bugs, and would ceiling fans help the problem?

Bug spray misters around the fenced back yard. Not expensive and work really well

We had that problem too and when we'd go crabbing. We'd just spray some "off" on us and it worked within a couple seconds maybe. Use that, or use some Black Flag or some. Black Flag is great for a patio or outside of a house but OFF is good if you're going outdoors to go fishing, stuff like that

You can also call EBR Mosquito Abatement and they will come and fog your yard for free. We usually call them a couple days before we know we will be entertaining.

I'd used A ThermaCell at the camp keep the Mosguito away. Just found this at Academy last week, I will try them out.

just put two oscillating fans on either end of the patio. There's a reason you don't get bitten by mosquitos when it's nice and breezy outside

They have these things called screens, they work pretty well at keeping the skeeters out.
