agree if it is the pits at the end of Grand river by the levee, on the left behind the camps I guess I fished those before so lock me up and throw away the key.

I've fished those as well. Was brought back there by a Kelly Baw...

I work with the guy that was with him when he caught it. I'm pretty sure they brought the fish to Cabelas, and they threw it in the tank.

A guy who claims to be in the family that leases the property that the pond in question is on PMed me yesterday on FB. He admitted to having no proof that the fish was caught in the pond, only that the kid had been asked not to fish there in the past.
It's a shame that people try to ruin a kids catch of a lifetime because they heard something 5th hand from their cousins brothers guy he worked with.

Was the kid bass fishing or brim fishing? or catfishing? I mean if this kid was targeting large bass and possibly trespassing, definitely I'd be pissed and look to press charges. But if this kid is catfishing or brim fishing and lucks into the bass, not sure its really worth it.

Given, if he had a history of trespassing and then catches a monster bass you know he'll be back.

Looking to press charges because someone might have been trespassing?

He was either trespassing or not. If so, you either press charges or you don’t. Nothing else matters in my opinion.

This is what I like about my GoPro. If I ever catch a monster bass like that, I sure as hell hope the battery isn’t dead on that thing. That way there will be no questions asked about the legitimacy.

Can you answer my question from earlier

Is this a landlocked/gated off private pond, or one of the millions with a sign on a tree in a navigable waterway

Unless you are trespassing amiright? Ha. I agree, but unfortunately a high percentage of these 'questionable' outdoors events are usually on th criminal side.
