Is this what will flood sherburne? We have a camp there and I can't believe we wouldn't get more notice than this to get our stuff out. How are you getting this info if you can say?

1 or 2 gates Monday. Then 2 more. Wait & see what that does, then 2 more until all gates are open if necessary. This was a pre-heads up. Rain is in the forecast. It's opening no matter what, no reason to wait & see. The farmers have started moving.

Eta- official word still may not come till Friday or Saterday.

The pre-heads up is that it's opening Monday & get your shite out. Agree or disagree that's the pre-heads up. It's not my pre-heads up. I didn't pull this out of my arse. I don't care if i'm right or wrong. This is the government we are talking about & when politics is involved anything can happen between now & Saterday. So what if it turns out to be Tues.

What I'm saying is the pre-heads up is Monday 1 or 2 gates & get your shite out.

I do not anticipate a report tomorrow or Friday as the Commission will be in Vicksburg. If I receive one, I'll pass it along.

We had lifted our camp to 5 feet off the ground and still had about 18 inches of water in it. For reference in the 73 flood there was only about 3 ft of water on our property.

Decisions are made before it is on a report.

You ever see wildlife on a mass migration running from a impending disaster & everbody else is standing around wondering what's going on? The heads up is Monday.

Bonnet Carre will be opened on Saturday, with a few bays opened each day till all 350 are opened.

As for Morganza.. we have been told no official decision yet. CORP told us to install a water level gage in the forbay, which we did Monday. They told us they will like a gage on the tail water side of structure if structure is opened.

At this point we have been told to hold off on this gages installation.

So take that as you will...

I'm not talking about a written report. I'm talking about a report on the planning.

Lsufan, how far down are yall? We'd taken over my grandparents camp down in that little horse shoe community a couple yrs back. We pulled all of our shite for the last flood and never been back. I understand that you all have been there a while now but what's the reason for fighting so hard to stay?! Sherburnes good hunting has been dead and gone for many yrs now and what used to be a descent place is all port barre mouth breathers.
