Not to derail but has anyone heard anything about when Power Pole plans to bring their trolling motor to market? I was hoping maybe in Miami or ICast but not even sure those shows will happen at this point.

Whoever posts for Basscat at BBC said, "Mid year likely on PP trolling motors."

My crisis is averted. Took it apart and found a corner of a magnet had broken off. Back together and almost as quiet as a church mouse. Now I can wait longer to see what’s up with the Tour Pro. When you get yours I want you to torture test it real good and let me know, lol

I pretty much baby trolling motors. Almost always on 3 or less. I guess the true test will be spot lock in February on my perch points.

My summer fishing holes look like this.

And I run my ultrex wide open on 10 with no issues.

Even pulled this one out of those mats this summer.

That don’t help me none. We need full contact, ejection speed testing, lol

Basscat also confirmed the tour pro shipping. Sure wish I would have had a direct contact with them.

Wouldn't own one, fish a ton of heavy cover, shallow heavy vegetation, buddy tore up two in three months, maybe if I fished large Deepwater reservoirs offshore, other than that no use for one bass fishing.

I fish tons of shallow heavy cover and have run my Ultrex into all kinds of stumps and grass and everything else and have had zero problems with it. Been going strong for almost 3 years now.

Bump,

Beginning to think the Power Pole Trolling Motor is only a thing of legend. Anyone heard anything on it? It appears the main board gave out on my Terrova, tired of putting money into but it appears given how everything else is back ordered I don't have much of a choice.

If you hold on for a bit, Minn Kota has a new saltwater model being tested as we speak. It is going to be a beast.

What kind of time frame we looking at? Brushless motor? What’s new?

I have had two different ultrex. Both broke multiple times. I have a garmin force for over a year now and it has been good. The only thing was on spot lock it would back up a few feet if you hit the button while moving forward. An update via download and blue tooth and problem solved. If buying again at this moment in time I would get another force. I will take a look at the power pole one once it comes to market.

What part(s) are breaking multiple times on these trolling motors?

Some pics are leaking. Looks most like the Force out. Of existing models. I love my Tour Pro.

What I found after reading your comment, not at all what I was hoping for. It doesn't appear to be self deploying nor have trim control to lower and raise via remote. May not even be saltwater friendly which is crazy given that market shares dedication to power poles. Guess I'm ordering a new Ulterra and wait months like everyone else for delivery.

3-3-23

Looks like we have a release date for the much anticipated Power Pole Trolling Motor, seen where Chris Lane had one on his boat while winning the MLF event this past weekend.
