I'm getting rid of my old power pole and adding a Raptor. I've got a Terrova trolling motor and like that I can use one remote to control both devices.

Can anyone comment on the active anchoring feature on the Raptor? Is it worth the additional $200? I'm leaning towards getting one with the feature.

It’s really really hard to beat PP customer service. It would be really hard for me to switch to the same system essentially without having PP customer service.

It is $200 at retail, street price isn't that much difference. I went with the Active anchoring just to get the white raptors, the package price difference wasn't that much. I do like that with Active anchoring you get the auto bottom mode so you just hit down and it is going to hold regardless of what type of bottom you have. I also have a Humminbird Solix and an Ipilot link Trolling motor so everything works from the same remote or the GPS unit.
