Unless you are planning to buy a Vortex Razor, get the Meopta.
I have one of each and the Meopta has great glass in it and holds zero.
The Razor I have is the Gen2 HD 4.5-27x56. Great scope but is heavy as hell and wouldn't be the best for hunting.
For hunting you will enjoy the Meopta

Really appreciate everyone’s feedback. Looks like I’ll be owning a new Meopta soon. Thanks again!

Meopta is awesome. Very good low light performance and real clear glass.

Some or all meoptas made in china now? Im
reading that this is the case. If they are being manufactured in china.. i would hope the glass is still czech?

Meopta scopes are the best value to quality for the money our there. They're typically just a bit heavy.

I think you have this backwards. Meopta makes the glass and Zeiss puts it in their Conquest scopes. Meopta is orginally a Microscope company. I believe

I would personally steer away until Meopta reopens a service center in the US. No planned reopening date since it closed.

They still make some damned good scopes.
Their VX-5HD 3-15x44 is about as perfect as a hunting scope as you can buy.

Until 2 of them crap the bed for failure to track and return to zero. I sold those 2 along with another I had after Leupold sent me replacement scopes. IF they would build them to be reliable they'd absolutely be in the running for the perfect hunting scope. But Leupold and their less than stellar tracking is no secret

I picked up half a dozen of them when Cabelas had a big sale. The Cabela brand scopes were just Meoptas. All have been solid.
