Went overnight Saturday night to Na Kika area and it was a late change of plans away from Mars/Ursa based on RipCharts and local intel. It turned out to be the best decision of all time as Mars/Ursa area got lit up by a 7 hour lightning storm that would have been a beast to deal with. Did anyone else see this or hear about it? It was the most impressive lightning storm I've ever seen.
This sounds pretty familiar, I might have been your "local intel". Were you guys in a 22-25ft Glacier Bay? We overnighted Friday around Na Kika and also had a pretty spectacular light show from the Mars area.

It was damn impressive. I wasn't in it...skirted around it.
There was a 31' Cape Horn that got caught up in it though

I was in my 31 CH out there, but missed the storm--was there another 31 out there?
