Used the Jerk and the Shrimplets last trip. One of my best artificial days of my life. Pink seemed to be best.

The M54 shrimplets are where it's at; I've caught big specks, sheep, reds, blk drum, etc. etc. on these tiny things, mostly in the natural colors.

I like the Boom Boom shrimp but last Sunday I watched the M54 shrimplet wreck shop next to me using the BB shrimp, I eventually switched. Some days they're about equal, but I've never seen the BB Shrimp out produce the M54 so if I had to pick just one to go with, it's the M54 tiny shrimp every time.

We're currently on a live bait moratorium on my boat for the foreseeable.

Great bait. And the best thing is that they don’t melt like that vudu shite. I can’t begin to count how many vudus I’ve tossed out that were melted.

I didn't find them to be that durable, especially the shrimplets. Not nearly as durable as the 4 Horseman boom boom shrimp

Got a buddy that charters out of Lafitte and said when his clients want specks, the shrimplets in natural brown color is all he uses

How durable are they? I am going to try a couple. Are they holding up for multiple fish?

They hold up ok. You may have more problems with toothy critters in Florida than we have in LA. I bought a hard plastic body shrimp from the Marker 54 guy at a local tackle store tent sale. I dont see it available on his website but you may be able to call and see if he has any laying around.

Thanks. I was thinking more for my personal use. I dont think they would be good guiding unless they could hold up. You are right, there are a lot of different species in the grass here. Damn pinfish chomp your swimbait bodies off all day. Gets frustrating at times.

Thanks.

For speckled trout I have used the same bait for several trips with no problems. Spanish Mackerel can be pretty unforgiving on them tho.

I tried the hard plastic version once and thought it was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it. Not sure they still make it.

discovered them a few months ago from my cousin who lives in thibodeaux. they are the single best and most durable artificial i've ever used.
i was only a live bait user. haven't bought live since finding them, and they've outperformed what i did with live.

the country gas station in downtown Broussard keeps them stocked!

I remember telling you to use a certain bait one time.

Does any local stores in Lafayette have them? I’m a sucker for trying new stuff

Go to Marker 54 website. They should have a map where they sell
