I was duck hunting a little pond and stayed too late. I had a houseboat in Port Eads but wasn’t worried. Got in the canes, can of sardines and Vienna sausage for dinner and slept in the boat. That pass gets a good bit of traffic.

1988 spent the night and most of the next morning in a patch of cane right by there, in a pirogue w me dog... fog was a soaking sea fog... could only see about 10 feet., if that 3 ducks and 15 poule d'eau
