I'm just joking, though I do love a 1911. Even have an Sig 1911 and P938.
I'm the video with the screw in the trigger, I don't understand that. I have my P320 right here. I have not shot it that much. Couple hundred rounds is all. But, when I take it apart, there isn't anything there where he's sticking the screw.
If I pull the trigger to the wall and mess with it, it will not do anything. I wonder if it needs to be shot a lot more than I have to where some of the components start to wear some before they will fire like that.
I haven't shot this gun in 3 years or more probably.

I have a 365 XL Spectre Comp, and I am pretty much afraid to carry it now.
Starting to think about what else I may look at for carrying.

If you're comfortable with no manual safeties, glock is the very boring and often very correct answer. When it comes to going bang when you pull the trigger and not going bang when you don't, you can't argue with Glock's service history. There are A LOT of them out there, and gen 5 is supposedly even safer.
In my opinion they are way overpriced for what they are, but so is everything else these days.

I'm getting the CZ P09C for carry to replace my 365 macro.
Check out the S&W Shield Plus, it's close to the same size as a 365XL (just a bit smaller) and can match the capacity with after-market help.

The P365 has a different design than that 320 that's supposedly safe. I carry one daily, but I'm having second thoughts about anything Sig related. Considering swapping to a CZ.
I did a deep dive on the P365 to see if I could find anything similar happening with it and I found ZERO. This crap with the P320 is not confidence building about the company, but I do trust that P365 fully at this point. I don't baby it.

They just came out with a Shield X. Flush fit 13 round mag, optic cut and rail for a light.

Same. I dont see how it could go off without a trigger pull as long as it's in good working condition.
Considering how many there are out there, any tiny little potential issue would be well advertised by now.

Sig just sent out a big email to their customers doubling down and insisting the P320 is safe.

Just got the p320 side by side with the p365 internals.
Completely different design:
ETA: 320 top or left and 365 bottom or right

It might well be.
As fricked up as government procurement is, I'd be surprised if sig hitched their wagon to a lame horse.
I cant take a video of a dude making a used pistol go off with a screw jammed into the trigger as anything meaningful at all. Can't take a report of an airman shooting himself with a holsterd pistol that he threw on a table as anything meaningful. Its pretty easy to find videos of people glock legging themselves.
I'm always inclined to lean toward user error or assembly defect rather than gross design oversight and willfull deceit in the aftermath but who knows, maybe sig is ran by evil people these days.

Army, Marine Corps, Navy have no plan to stop using M18, M17 pistols
SG, if you have the email that Sig sent, please post it
