yeah that's the dumbest part of it. Science shows at 12" they spawn once. At 14" most females spawn 2 or 3 times, which is why most other gulf states have the 14" minimum.
LA just decides to grab 13.5 out of hat and roll with it.

No way they make a size limit in a half size. I don't think they are considering a size limit increase at the moment anyways.

I thought I read they are considering 13.5" and 15 creel limit. I'll try to find more info.

MS was 14, went down to 13 and then up to 15. Never changed from 15/day though.
Surely LA wouldn't do a 1/2" increment...right?

That was one of the options. Of all on the Powerpoint, the ones highlighted(don't know why) were 12"/9 and 13"/11. Only one slot option was highlighted, 13"-20"/13.

It's fine if they drop it to 15 but please don't bump up to 13.5.
We caught 29 keepers between me and my son. I bet only two were over 13.5
I read on one of their reports that 60-70% of released fish die due to stress and damage.
