I have been going to this in pasts years and the show has been getting more and more sad each year. This year was notably different than before. Ridiculous that they charge 12$ to get in to see a 3/4 full building with booths of people selling junk and the typical Blue Wave and Express display of boats.

It was very disappointing this year.

I tried to tell y'all yesterday that it was on par with a flea market.
It's so bad

This is not the same show as past years. This was NOT the Louisiana Sportsman Show. They moved their show to Father’s Day weekend so this show popped up in its place. It’s actually run by the guy who put together the Sportsman’s shows for years. It was put together too late and quickly. Plus the fact so many in the industry don’t have enough inventory to do trade shows.

That makes sense, I saw they were having another in June and thought it was weird two were so close to each other. Hopefully, that one is much better.

Louisiana Outdoor Expo =/= Louisiana Sportsman Show

Sportsman Show is normally this weekend plus a 2nd show in the Superdome in July. This year they aren’t doing one in NOLA (if I had to guess, probably has something to do with uncertainty on what covid restrictions NOLA would have at the time) and they moved Gonzales show to June

It hasn't been even decent in a long long time. None of the Louisiana outdoor shows expos, guns shows whatever are worth a damn. Save your money from all the local sports and outdoor showcases and displays and just go to shotshow or one of the big outdoor expo's in Vegas. Its super cheap to fly out there and stay. Exhibition centers are bigger than a super walmart and packed with top name vendors!!! Deals are super!! The giveaways are outrageous and about 300 free raffles to get in. They also have a UPS and FEDEX shipping booth to send home things you buy so you dont have to fly them back and discounted shipping!!! Super cheap. Last time I went 3 of us left on a Friday after lunch, flew back Sunday at like 4pm, stayed on the strip in a basic room that you are never in in vegas except to shower and sleep. Total cost was right at $225 a person and that covered airfare and stay. I actually had to buy a bag and check it to bring home all the free stuff i forgot to ship. Friday afternoon I made it back to the room with something like half a case of different shotgun shells, tru glo sights, duck calls turkey calls, shell holders, man you name it. I won a rmr on a draw pull, shirts, hats, sun glass holders, plastic fishings boxes, hooks, soft plastics, it was like 4 walmart bags stuffed!! We had only visted one wall and 2 rows of booths friday afternoon! It took all day Satuirday to see the rest of it! I'll never waste my time on our local shows again.

Has anyone been to the Houston Fishing Show? Always wanted to go to. Hell FTU alone has as much as a fishing show here.

Dallas safari club show in early January is well worth the trip. Only $25 to get in, now to buy stuff it helps if you own an oil company.
