Need some recommendations on offshore charters. It's been about 20 years since I've done it and looking to take my son and nephew. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, I'll give them a look. Is this something that a 7 and 8 year old will be able to do?

Not picky about where. Just want to do saltwater. Would like to fish for multiple types, not just redfish or just tuna. Not sure how it all works.

Cap't Eddie out of Venice is damn good.

I've got his contact info in my office and can forward it later.

Thanks for all the great input. Is this something y'all think is doable for a 7 and 8 year old? Should I stick to reds and amberjacks, etc. with two boys that age?

A Tuna run is not a good idea for young kids, IMO. You are always subject to rough seas and they can't hoist 50 plus pounds fish at that age. I'm 34 and my last tuna run kicked my arse for two days this past summer.

I'd stick to inshore fishing until they get older, if it were me.

That's what I was thinking. Explain 'inshore' to me. Sorry, I'm no fisherman. Is that just as it implies? River and lake fishing? Or shallow water salt that yield smaller fish?
