Anyone have about a 150 gallon tank they want to get rid of that I could make a smoker out of?

I love the way Capt Bellue's smoked sausage and jerky tastes. One year I asked him to see what he used to smoke sausage in. It's a 55 gallon drum converted into a smoker setup.

If it's vertical they call that a UDS and it's pretty popular.

Yeah, it is. What I meant was, I was expecting some elaborate commercial setup.
What does that stand for?
Upright Drum Smoker?

Even with a one word title, I knew what this thread would be about.

You want a pressurized cylinder like the once used for propane? 50 Gallon should be good though, 150 gallon is kind of big to expect someone to be scrapping. Those are permanent installations. At least a 50 gallon you may find one with an old fitting that no one wants to deal with.

Here's one I made out of a dishwasher.
And with sausage and jerky

Yeah a propane tank, or maybe an old air tank or something. Someone might just have junk laying around their yard that they'd like to make a few bucks off of.

Pow Pow had one made out of an old upright freezer.

Now I know that every man should know how to turn a dishwasher into a smoker but you mind explaining this to me?

I hear Bladders from hot water heaters work great
