Can't be stressed enough. The 3.4l is one of the best engines toyota has ever made.

In the top ten most reliable engines of all time, it is firmly in the top 5.

The 4.0l v6 is more in the top 15. The 4.7L is in the top 10 until the starter fails...then it's number 9384783927749298482992954737373737385884motherfricker939393939506027373859592526

I’ve had a few.
My ‘07 was indestructible and I really wish I still had it.
The V-6 would run forever. Not sure about the v-8…

I love my 93 4Runner and bought it in 95. It’s needs some interior work and a paint job, but it’s my answer to a side by side.
