Looks like some retailers have it available for shipping. Just placed my order. Cabelas/Bass Pro for sure. May just be ducer and black box. Ducer only is going to be later.

Question: I've heard the update to the original makes them same, is the is mostly true or 100% true?

Basically, i can get the original for 1200 or the new for 1600, is it worth 400?

It's not true. There are differences. I can't tell anyone if it's worth it. It is to me.

If Garmin feels the need to introduce a new transducer, then it's likely something they see worth introducing over the previous model. Garmin has the opposite business model of Apple, they usually only release updated products when the changes are noticeable. I think the 32 was released around 2018 so the new one has to have new and improved tech involved

I went to a big fishing tournament a couple of weeks ago at toledo bend. It was at cypress bend park . (don't remember the name of the tournament but it had 500 boats) The garmin vendor was out there showing the new lv 34 transducer. He had a 32 and 34 comparresen. The difference was the interference closer to the boat. it was a dramatic difference much clearer. He also showed that the angles of the multiple transducer has change a bit. You use to only have about 25 deg of sight on forward and down . Now u have 30 to 35 deg of sight. Big difference. there is a company RMT that will buy your 32 transducer and sell you and 34 upgrade.

Delivered. Will get installed just in time for the beginning of pile season. I guess I should go ahead and get my guide permit.

Good luck. I am probably done with TB unless I get invited later for top fishing. I would have no idea where to even start if going alone. I guess I could just scan, but would hate to find some and some guide come rolling up on me.

If you side scan and find a brush pile and start fishing it……screw a guide that rolls up on you and claims it’s his.
