Anyone have experience with a limited use camp sewage system. Designed for less than 100 GPD and 3 or less days a week? On houseboats they discharge treated effluent into water. What happen to the treated effluent at a land camp? Dealer says can be installed by camp owner and not licensed installer. Is this true? What brand do you use?

Are you being ordered to install it by the parish?

We were forced to put in full blown underground concrete sewage plant by Avoyelles Parish in order to get electricity run to our boxed in garage camp without a toilet. We had two 275 gallon totes filled with water and a pressure pump piped to a faucet and an outside sink. They called it "an advanced water system" therefore we didn't qualify for the limited use swage system. We didn't even have a sink or anything to plumb into the thing!

Point is just be careful because some gov people are pure assholes.

Well, kinda
Instead of holes in the drum, we buried about 50' of perforated 4" overflow line from the drum.

Thats the problem I'm facing trying to get electricity at my camp. You would think I'm trying to put in Trump Tower.

I bought a Mo-Dad limited use system back in 2007 for our camper spot at Constance Beach. The Cameron Parish inspector recommended it. Bought it in Breaux Bridge for $1000 and installed it myself. Just ran the outflow line into the culvert on my property.

It’s been working perfectly for over 15 years now. No mechanical parts, just three tanks connected together and PVC piping inside for the aerator to work it’s magic. I’ve had to change the aerator out once because a hurricane ruined it.

I think any of these limited use systems will suffice and satisfy the inspectors.

You need to break down and ask the Parish. If they are doing an inspection for the power to be turned on you can’t get away from it. It gets ridiculous though.

I narrowed my choices down to the Mo-Dad system and the LUS 75-Camp Unit.

How big is the Mo-Dad unit? Did you bury it or is it above ground?

What size pipe did you run from the unit to your culvert?

Thanks for the info.
