Anyone have any experience with either of these? I sold my ATN X Sight and need to re-power my 300 Blackout.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you sell your ATN X?

I have the VXR patrol 1.5*4*20. Love the optic. One of the better valued options on the market. I have it mounted on my 300BO. Ban H Photo will put them on sale from time to time for $499.

I am going to be building an MK12 Mod 0 SPR and will put a VXR on it as well.

I have an accupoint. I love it. No batteries to worry about and it's really tough. I'm pretty hard on my hunting equipment and haven't destroyed it yet so that's good.

I think a more accurate comparison would be the Leupold versus the Trijicon Accupower. It also has a battery-powered illuminator in the optic rather than being battery-free.

As for the two, I doubt you could go wrong for either. For my 308 build these two scopes will likely be finalists. I lean more to the Trijicon since it doesn't run on batter power and it appears A_bear agrees with that.

I had the Gen 1 and didn't use it much. I sold it while I could still get something for it.

I do agree with that. The trijicon is the way to go in my opinion because it does everything the leupold can do but without the chance of a malfunction. Regardless, the optic will still work without the dot in the center of the reticle, but the trijicon dot will always be there. You can, however, "turn it off" on the accupoint. There's a piece that covers the fiber optic/tritium section if you turn it that will stop the dot from lighting up. It will light up in the dark too. It works the same as the trijicon pistol night sights at night.

Glass on the Accupoint is better (Japanese vs. Chinese). Glass on accupower and accupoint is the exact same. The only difference is illumination. I will say, the Accupower illumination is great as far as how adjustable it is (super dim to super bright) but the battery life is utter arse. Between the 2 you mentioned, go accupoint.

On their low to mid tier ones, yes. Japanese on the higher iirc. I do believe the VXR uses Chinese.

I have a Leupold VX-R Patrol 3x9 with a detachable Bobro mount on an AR15. Only shot it once, but I like it. Glass looks very clear.

Got it new from Ebay.

I like the 3-9x50 or 4-12x50 with the Ballistic Firedot.
